Looking like sugar crystals, frost coats these bigleaf maple leaves at Jackson Bottom Wetlands.
Jackson Bottom Wetlands just south of Hillsboro, Oregon on Highway 219 is a wetland preserve in the bottomlands along the Tualatin River. Parts of the area are open to the public for walking and wildlife viewing. Because of the humidity that hangs in bottomlands like this, subfreezing weather often results in opportunities for great frost photography.
