A Hat Shaped Ice Capped Boulder Seems to Float Above the Clackamas River Near Estacada.
This picture was taken just above the mouth of Roaring River on the Clackamas River in the Mt Hood National Forest about halfway between Estacada and Ripplebrook. I shot this photo during a spell of very cold weather in the early 90's. The Clackamas River Canyon is very deep and narrow and the light at the bottom of the canyon tends to be very, very blue on winter days.
