A Native Blackberry Glistens with Frost, Jackson Bottom Wetlands, Oregon
The foliage of the Cascade Trailing Blackberry (Rubus ursinus) is green in the summer, but can turn bright colors in the fall and winter. This picture shows an example backlit by the early morning sun and glazed with rime frost. Within moments of the sun striking the leaves the frost melted.

For humans, trailing blackberry is an annoying tripping hazard when we go off-trail, but for blacktail deer in western Oregon, it's an essential plant that can supply up to 80% of their diet in the winter.
