A Sliver of a Sunset on the Oregon Coast and the Pacific Ocean.

This was a sunset opportunity at the coast that I had great hopes for. Usually the setting sun will light up a low cloud layer like this in vivid reds and oranges. This cloud layer must have been a little too low, though, because the color never developed beyond what your see here. However, I still like the results because of the way the color tones in the sea are also seen in the clouds above, although much lighter. I also like the way the sun peeks through below the clouds just where the clouds meet the horizon. I put the sun well off-center to the right to keep the composition from being to static and boring. Also, that allowed room for more of the warm tones to show under the clouds and above the horizon.
