This picture was taken on the northwest coast of Vancouver Island near Qualicum Beach, looking across the Strait of Georgia. While vacationing here a few years ago, we were treated to a series of spectacular sunrises. The only filtration used on this photo was a graduated neutral density filter. The shot was made on Fuji Velvia film, which tends to saturate reds.
