This rush-fringed pond is located across from the access road to the Peyto Lake viewpoint at Bow Pass. This picture was taken looking toward the mountain ranges to the east of Bow Pass.
The highway south of here a few miles to Crowfoot Glacier passes through open meadows and tundra that are places where there is a good chance of seeing grizzly bears in the spring and fall.
