This photo shows the eastern flank of 9730 ft. high Mount Jimmy Simpson emerging from the clouds and overcast after a light autumn snowstorm.
Jimmy Simpson was a guide and trapper who founded Num-Ti-Jah Lodge on the shores of Bow Lake. The Simpson facilities at Bow Lake had their origins in a cabin Simpson built at the lake in the 1920s. Construction began on the present-day lodge in 1937. When completed in 1950 it had 25 guest rooms.
