Photoflex, Flexfill, Westcott, and other companies make collapsible reflectors that can be slipped into your camera bag. These accessories are lightweight, compact, and invaluable for providing front fill lighting from reflected sunlight or skylight. They come in a variety of sizes. The smallest ones will fit into a backpack or even a coat pocket.
They come in white, silver and gold. I like the white for providing neutral fill. The metallic gold reflectors are good for warming up a subject and adding a little drama. These reflectors are available from professional-grade camera stores or by mail order.
