Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis) flowers growing in an Oregon Forest
Salmonberry is a native caneberry shrub that blooms early in the springs with beautiful magenta-pink blossoms. The one inch long fruits mature in the late spring. The light orange color resembles the color of salmon roe. The flavor is pleasant but very, very light.
