The decorative leaded art glass in this pair of doors is reminiscent of the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and also the Craftsman style. These recently manufactured doors were installed in a new home in Forest Heights in Portland, Oregon.
These manufactured doors were reasonably priced, but only were available as a standard height (80") product, so the builder decided to add a decorative glass transom light. He wanted something that would blend with the doors and not be too expensive, so he chose beveled glue chip glass.
The lever lock on the door is a Cortina by Emtek in oil rubbed bronze finish.
The baseboard and the crown moulding are both about 5-1/2" wide. The casing is 3-1/2" wide. The hardwood flooring is a strip style Brazilian cherry (jatoba) that was installed unfinished, and then sanded and finished in place. Jatoba makes a very hard, durable floor.
