This is my all-time favorite Northwest (or is it Arrowleaf?) Balsamroot picture. I took it above Dalles Mountain Road near Columbia Hills State Park in the eastern Columbia River Gorge. The light was what Kodak used to call Cloudy-Bright, perfect conditions for shooting.
