Horsetail Falls plunges into a pool at the base of the cliffs in the Columbia River Gorge
Horsetail Falls has the distinction of being the most accessible of all the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge.  It is about 50 feet off the old highway, a few miles east of Multnomah Falls.  Here, I tried to create a mood and a setting for the waterfall by placing it behind this tree, and by using backlighting from the late afternoon sun to add warmth and color.
