One day as I drove up the Columbia River, I noticed a cool fog effect. The marine cloud layer at a few thousand feet was starting to break up, and there was still a 'ground fog' layer right at the water's surface.
I parked in the Multnomah Falls parking lot and walked across the freeway and down to the water's edge. While I was shooting various shots, a fisherman came by in an open skiff, headed upstream.
I had my ultra-wide zoom on the camera and didn't have time to switch to a longer lens, so I made the best of it. This is one of those photos that looks better the bigger you print it.
