This beautiful and well preserved little church was built in 1888, when Maryhill, Washington was known as Columbus. Maryhill is a little pocket of arable land right next to the Columbia River that is home to a group of peach and apricot orchards.
At one time this little church stood on a corner on the main highway from Central Oregon to Central Washington. That highway has since bypassed the town completely, and what remains is a sleepy little community with a couple of fruit stands.
