I love being on the beach on clear late fall days. On this day, the surf was huge and the wave splashes were big. It's always a little intimidating to look out at surf that appears to be well higher than the beach I'm standing on. These big waves usually seem to dissipate before they reach the sand, but sometimes one sneaks through. Keep one eye on the surf, and be ready to move.
Seal Rock State Recreation Site has parking, picnic, and restroom facilities. There is a path to the beach, which offers tidepools at low tide. There is a viewing platform which offers views of the rocks north of the park.
