Late afternoon sun casts shadows across a sand dune on the Oregon coast.
A simple photo, this is one of my favorite shots.  In the late spring and summer, the Oregon coast is often windy and where the sand is dry and undisturbed, ripples form.  Add a low afternoon sun, and you have the makings for a good photo.

A deliberately introduced invasive, european beach grass, has created a line of stable sand dunes along the upper side of many Oregon beaches.  It has changed the coastal environment in some negative ways, but it sure can be photogenic.
