Scarlet gilia wildflowers bloom in a hanging meadow on Surveyor Ridge near Mt Hood.
I took this picture on the slopes of Surveyor Ridge just east of Mt. Hood. Surveyor Ridge is a popular location for hiking, mountain biking, and birdwatching.

The wildflowers in the photo are Scarlet Gilia. The first time that I walked into this meadow, I encountered at least fifty hummingbirds feeding on the Gilia.
