Clearing Fog and Clouds in an Old Growth Forest, from Larch Mountain, Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood National Forest, Cascade Mountains, Oregon Photo Picture
Here is another photo taken from Sherrard Point, the 4056 foot high summit of Larch Mountain, looking south on a damp morning when clouds and fog left behind by an overnight rainfall were dispersing.

The forest in this picture is a mixture of old growth and second growth. The forest on the west slopes of Larch Mountain are mostly second growth, but looking east toward Mt. Hood one sees more old growth forest.
