In this picture, the warm tones of American cherry Craftsman style cabinets, Brazilian cherry (jatoba) flooring, deep golden tan carpet and wall paint blend together to generate a soothing, harmonious feeling.
The black granite countertops provide contrast. The backsplashes are 12" by 12" slate tiles set on the diagonal to create a diamond pattern. At the corner intersections of the slate tiles, small dark colored ceramic tiles are used as accents.
Recessed lighting in the ceiling highlights the attractive panels at the top of the upper cabinet doors, while undercabinet light fixtures provide working light at countertop level.
